Dear Family and Friends,
Our Goal: $200,000.00 We believe that exercise and you can be the difference… In 2010 the IRONDames, inspired and led by our founder Kim Kearns (Pace) raised over $150,000 for WELLSPRING Halton-Peel’s Cancer Exercise Program, enabling it to grow from a pilot program to the most popular program WELLSPRING has ever introduced.
Though we have lost our dear friend Kim, the IronDames continue to be inspired by her spirit. To ensure the continued success of the Cancer Exercise Program the IRONDames are once again stepping up to the Start Line in 2012 to raise $200,000 to construct and equip WELLSPRING Halton-Peel’s New Cancer Exercise Facility.
The IronDames have taught me that anything is possible when women support each other. In the spirit of the "girl power" that the IronDames is built on and in honour of Kim, I have committed myself to coaching the Girls on the Run team at my school this year. This non-profit organization educates and prepares girls for a lifetime of self-respect and health living. I love their motto - changing the world one girl at a time. The girls and I have been training for the past eleven weeks. This Father's Day, the Mother Teresa Girls on the Run team will race together with teams from all over the GTA in a non-competitive 5K race.
Please consider sponsoring me in my goal to raise $500, you will be helping the IRONDames meet our Fundraising Goal to construct and equip WELLSPRING Halton-Peel’s New Cancer Exercise Facility. Just click "Sponsor Me" to make a donation. By doing so you’ll be making an immeasurable difference in the life of someone fighting cancer. Thank you so much for your generosity!
