In October, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala as a member of “Team Broken Earth – Barrie, Ontario” to volunteer my skills as a Recovery Room/PACU nurse. Our team, composed of a group of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals, are volunteering their time and skills to participate in a one-week mission trip to Guatemala to perform surgeries for patients in need. Many of these patients will be travelling great distances to get these surgeries. My goal is to raise $2700 to help cover transportation, accommodation and clinic costs.
