In October of this year, I will be volunteering with a medical relief and education mission with members of Team Broken Earth- Barrie (Surgical) in Guatemala! This is an amazing organization, where volunteer health care professionals from the Barrie area will be conducting a one-week mission to Antigua to provide essential surgical care to rural Guatemalans in the areas of Gynecology, Orthopedics, and General Surgery. I will be a part of the team, assisting orthopedic patients postoperatively after total hip and knee replacements to progress their mobility and safety. I am beyond excited to join this team, to assist people around the world, and thankful for this opportunity.
