I will be participating in a medical relief and education mission with members of Team Broken Earth in Antigua, Guatemala in November 2024. This will be my third mission to Antigua, although my first with Team Broken Earth.
As part of this mission, surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses volunteer their time to provide much needed surgeries for people in Guatemala. For Gynecology, this often relates to hysterectomies and pelvic recontruction for women who would not otherwise be able to access medical care due to poverty and lack of private medical insurance.
I have created my own fundraising page to collect donations in support of this effort. The fundraising goal for each team member is $2500 to be raised by mid October 2024. Tax receipts will automatically be provided for any donations of $20 or more.
