Team Vancouver is preparing to return to Guatemala for its second mission of 2026 this November. Earlier this year, a small group of volunteers travelled on a rural outreach mission where they triaged patients in need of surgery. This will be our team's seventh surgical mission to Guatemala, working in partnership with 'Partner for Surgery'.
From November 22–27, a surgical team of 50 volunteers will return to Antigua to provide these much-needed procedures. This will be our largest team to date, operating six ORs for the first time: two for general surgery, one for urology, one for gynaecology, and two for orthopaedics (upper extremity and total knee replacements).
With such a large team on the ground, we aim to meet the significant demand for surgical care and address the needs of patients across Guatemala. Our team is thrilled to be returning and would be grateful for your support. Please click “Sponsor Us” to make a donation to Team Vancouver’s upcoming mission.
Team Broken Earth provides medical care and education in disaster stricken and developing nations. Our missions focus on providing much needed care to those most in need, and supporting and reinforcing the healthcare system in some of the poorest countries in the world.
