On July 14, 2024 I am riding in the Rotary Club of Vancouver’s Ride for Hearing. The Ride is in support of those who are deaf or suffering from hearing loss. Most of us know someone who is coping with hearing loss or other hearing related disabilities. Please help Rotary to "Bring Back the Sounds of Life"!
Last year the Rotary Club of Vancouver annual Ride for Hearing raised over $115,000.00 to assist those suffering from hearing disabilities and to find remedies for hearing loss where possible.
Please consider donating to this important cause in support of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in British Columbia. Over the past 39 years we have raised over $3.9 million dollars to support Cochlear Implant Research at UBC, establish the Rotary Hearing Centre at UBC, open the BC Rotary Hearing and Balance Centre at St. Paul's Hospital, and support numerous hearing related projects and services in BC.
The ride begins at 6:00 am on Sunday July 14, 2024 at Spanish Banks West, Vancouver and follows a route around UBC, out to Steveston, Richmond and back to the City of Vancouver, around Stanley Park, ending at Spanish Banks , covering about 105 kilometres. I will be riding a more modest distance in the Family Ride with my granddaughter, Everleigh.
