Team Vancouver will be returning to Guatemala this November for its second mission of 2026. Earlier this year, a small group of volunteers travelled to rural communities to assess and triage patients requiring surgery. From November 22–27, a larger surgical team of 50 volunteers will return to Antigua to perform these essential procedures. This will be our team's seventh surgical mission to Guatemala, working in partnership with 'Partner for Surgery'.

This will be our largest mission to date, with six operating rooms running simultaneously for the first time: two dedicated to general surgery, one to urology, one to gynaecology, and two to orthopaedics (upper extremity and total knee replacements).

Bringing such a large team allows us to respond to the significant demand for surgical care and help address the growing needs of patients in Guatemala. Our volunteers are incredibly excited to return, and we would greatly appreciate your support.
