Event Description
Social
workers wear many hats, and navigating the field requires more than
clinical expertise. Our three-part webinar series exclusively for
students introduces you to key knowledge areas that will enhance
your ability to manage projects, present your ideas, and foster
meaningful relationships—all crucial to your future success in the profession.
Project Management Fundamentals Presenter: Marc Charbonneau
You'll gain a clear understanding of how to turn great ideas into
successful, actionable projects. You'll learn the role of a project
manager, the life cycle of a project, and explore various project
management methodologies that can be applied across different
settings. This session equips you with organizational and
communication strategies to help you deliver results on time and
within budget.
Presentation Skills Presenter: Jessica Antony
This session will break down what makes a presentation effective.
You'll learn how to structure your talks, simple techniques to elevate
your delivery, and the four pillars of persuasion that can help you
advocate for your clients, engage your audience, and present with confidence.
Emotional Intelligence Presenter: Tim Plett
You'll explore the core components of emotional intelligence,
understand the interaction between your emotional and rational minds,
and discover practical ways to boost your own emotional awareness and
empathy—skills that are essential for connecting with clients and
stakeholders and managing complex situations.
Join us for this essential series and build the knowledge that will
set you apart as a dynamic, effective professional.
