The BC Wildlife Federation's Wetlands Education Program and the City of Surrey present Discover Wetlands.

Dive into the fascinating world of wetlands!  Discover how these water-filled habitats, with their unique plants and thriving wildlife, help clean water, prevent floods and provide homes for animals. Wetlands are nature’s protectors! Wetlands can filter water, mitigate flooding, and provide critical habitat to hundreds of species. Unfortunately, wetlands are disappearing at an alarming rate and need our protection.

Come join us to learn about the different types of wetlands, get your hands dirty in wetland soils, and gain some practice with plant identification. No previous experience is necessary.
