How do I resend the receipt to the donor?

With a click of a button, you can resend an electronic tax receipt to the donor. There are two ways to resend a tax receipt:

From the Tax Receipts section:

  1. Click CAD Tax Receipts in the left navigation. 
  2. Click Tax Receipts.
  3. Select the year and month that the donation was made, or when the tax receipt was created, and click Search.
  4. Click Resend beside the eTax Receipt to be resent.
  5. If required, modify the "To:" email address, to send the tax receipt to a different address.
  6. Create the accompanying email message.
  7. Click Email Tax Receipt.

From the Order Profile

  1. Click Donations in the left navigation.
  2. Click Orders.
  3. Search for the order, then click the Order ID beside the relevant order.
  4. Scroll down to the Canadian eTax Receipts section and click Resend.
  5. If required, modify the "To:" email address, to send the tax receipt to a different address.
  6. Modify the accompanying email message.
  7. Click Email Tax Receipt.

 

Tips:
  • Resent copies are not sent to the coordinator listed in the Setup Details section.
  • For tax receipts issued using the Donation service, the Order IDs will begin with "D" if the tax receipt was for a one-time donation or "Y" if the tax receipt was an annual receipt for all recurring monthly/quarterly donations made in a given year.
  • For tax receipts issued using the Pledge-a-thon service, the Order IDs will begin with "P".
  • For tax receipts issued using the Event Registrar service, the Order IDs will begin with "R".
  • For tax receipts issued using the Membership service, the Order IDs will begin with "M".
  • For tax receipts issued manually, the Order IDs will begin with "B".
