Can I embed a donation form widget directly into my website?

Yes. In addition to adding links to your donation appeal page on your website, your web designer can create a small donation widget where people can select their donation amount on your webpage and be taken to the secure GiftTool page to complete their donation, with the amount already entered into the form.

As you can see in this example, you can add buttons with a choice of onetime or monthly, different donation amounts and an input box should the donor prefer a different amount. When a donor completes this small form, it takes the donor to the correct GiftTool donation appeal form with the requested amount already entered.

• Have your web designer add additional fields to collect data on your webpage (such as name, address, etc) and the information will be auto-populated in the donation appeal page for their review before submitting their credit card information.
• Stream people to different donation appeal forms, if you want to collect different information or display different messages depending on the amount selected.

TIP

If your widget has the option to select “monthly”, you will need to link to a donation form that only offers monthly giving. This is because donation forms always default to “onetime” giving if that is an option on the form.
