Event Description

Join Sharah Mar-Kaminsky, your Ottawa and surrounding area OASW Local Engagement Network Ambassador, and your fellow Ottawa OASW social work colleagues to recognize Social Work Week by having professional headshots taken, networking, and getting a chance to win one of five tickets to the upcoming Writers Festival event with the author of Between Good and Evil, Melissa Fung, hosted by Lisa LaFlamme on April 19th at 7:00pm.

Headshots are a great way to help develop your professional profile as a social worker and can be used on social media platforms and websites like LinkedIn. Hiring professional photographers’ hourly costs upwards of $150. 

This headshots event is free for members and costs $15 for social work BSW or MSW non-members.

Headshots will be taken by professional photographer, Neil Colman at the Healing Steps Psychotherapy office and studio. "Free parking is available behind the building and participants should use the rear entrance under the green canopy that says 1673. The parking lot is accessible by a small laneway west of Churchill past the Shell gas station but east of Cole Avenue."

Headshots will be distributed electronically after the event. Please register for your preferred date. Styling and preparation tips will be distributed upon registration.

• Please select only ONE DATE that you would take your headshot

• Our Local Engagement Ambassadors may take photos at the event to capture some of the celebrations. OASW may choose / reserves the right to share photos taken at the event to showcase Social Work Month celebrations on our website or social media. If you do not wish to have your photo taken and/or shared, please let the Ambassador know at the event.
