The BCIT Distinguished Awards celebrate the richness of BCIT by honouring our recipients with the BCIT Honorary Doctorate Award, Distinguished Alumni Award, Faculty and Staff Association Distinguished Alumni, and the Outstanding Student Leadership Award. The accomplishments of these outstanding individuals tell a compelling story about who we are, what we do, and the impact BCIT has here at home and throughout the world.

At this year’s Distinguished Awards Dinner, we will be celebrating the four outstanding awards recipients:

• 2024 Honorary Doctorate Award:
  • Mark Angelo, River conservationist, celebrated author, speaker, and teacher
• 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award:
  • Kristy James, (Non-Proft Management Associate Certificate, 2006), President and Chief Executive Officer, Burnaby Hospital Foundation
• 2024 Faculty and Staff Association Distinguished Alumni Award:
