Wild Kidz is a week-long day camp which strives to educate children about the importance of nature, while providing them with fun, hands-on outdoor experiences. Learn how to make a shelter, build a fire and navigate through the wilderness! Wild Kidz is designed for children and youth ages 8 to 12 to learn outdoor skills, wilderness safety and about their community’s wild spaces in a fun, safe environment.

Activities may include:

• Fire and shelter-building
• Archery and range day
• Fishing field trip
• Invasive species identification
• Wayfinding compass activity
• Owl pellet dissection
• Much more!

A more detailed schedule will be included in the Parent Handbook, which will be sent via email a few weeks before your camp session. The Parent Handbook provides an overview of Camp logistics such as where campers must be dropped off and picked up, forms, etc.

Dates: Monday, August 18 - Friday, August 22

Times: 8:30am - 4:30pm daily; early dismissal on Friday at 2:30 PM

What to Bring: Participants are asked to bring a “Go Bag" that we will keep on site to ensure that campers have everything when needed. These are the items to place in each participant's Go Bag:

Everyday

• Backpack
• Bagged lunch & snacks
• Water bottle (we recommend multiple as water fountains aren't always available)
• Sun protection (Hat, sunglasses, & sunscreen)
• Appropriate footwear (Hiking shoes, sneakers, sandals with straps—use discretion)
• Light rain gear (Activities do not get cancelled due to weather)
• Any medication and/or emergency treatments (EPI pen, insulin, etc.)
• Change of clothes
