Go Wild! Youth for Conservation  is an intensive 9-day overnight leadership program for youth ages 13 – 17. Go Wild gives youth hands-on opportunities to develop outdoor and leadership skills through a series of games, workshops, conservation projects and a 3-day 2-night backpacking trip. Participants will leave with the skills and knowledge to become environmental leaders and become involved in conservation projects. This is a perfect fit for youth who enjoy the outdoors and want to gain leadership skills.

This camp is filled with fun activities designed to engage, educate, and inspire youth in conservation initiatives and leadership. The valuable experiences gained from camp will leave a lasting impact both in personal development and as change-makers in the community.

Activities may include:

  • Leadership and team building exercises
  • Camp widegames
  • Orienteering
  • Range Day (archery, cowboy action, etc.)
  • Fire and shelter building
  • Basic trip planning and leave no trace principles
  • A multi-day backpacking trip
  • Multiple restoration projects

A more detailed schedule will be included in a Parent Handbook, which will be sent via email a few weeks prior to camp. The Parent Handbook provides an overview of camp logistics such as where campers must be dropped off and picked up, forms, etc.
