Item: Property Tax Certificate
A tax certificate is typically purchased by lawyers handling property
transactions or when securing a mortgage for a property.
For property owners seeking information about their
property: Please note that you can contact the Tax Office via
email, phone, or visit the Customer Service Department on the 1st
Floor of City Hall to request a tax account statement. A fee may apply
as per the Fees for Service By-Law. Please bring valid identification.
Tax bills can be stamped 'Paid' at no extra cost in person.
Property Tax Certificates are issued based on the property's roll
number, which begins with 3829
if the property is located in Sarnia or Bright's
Grove. It is important to verify that the property
address falls within Sarnia or Bright’s Grove before placing an order.
