Brandon woke up one morning, rolled out of bed, and his legs gave out under him. He fell to the floor and couldn’t get up. He lived alone — there was no one to cry out to for help. Thankfully, he still had use of one hand and could call 911. Doctors saved his life, but it was unclear whether he’d ever walk again. He decided to fight and was admitted to our in-patient stroke rehabilitation program.

A lot of the equipment Brandon used on his road to recovery was provided by generous people like you. Without it, his care team wouldn’t have been able to help him get to the place he is today: walking again — without the use of a cane! “Everything is open to me now,” says Brandon with a smile. “And I owe it all to Bruyère.”
