Can participants register without an email address?

GiftTool requires an email address to be used for the registration of participants. This email address becomes the "username" associated with each participant's account; therefore, a valid email address is required to complete the process.

An email address also allows the participant to retrieve their password if they have forgotten it, through the automated “forget your password” functionality in a simple and secure manner. This will significantly reduce the burden on your staff in providing forgotten passwords.

Tip:

  • Free email addresses can be obtained through a variety of online services (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc).
  • Registration can be setup so that Families or Couples can register for a single fundraising page using a single email address.
