Using the wizard to create a Pledge-a-thon

The Pledge-a-thon creation process is a powerful way to build Pledge-a-thons that are as simple or complex as you need them to be. Creating a Pledge-a-thon consists of setting up the Pledge-a-thon options, logistics, and fundraising pages for your participants.

The Pledge-a-thon wizard helps your create a Pledge-a-thon by taking you step-by-step through the creation process. Navigating the wizard is easy. You will see a series of light blue tabs which are the main navigation sections, with subsections displayed as grey tabs. You can preview your public Pledge-a-thon pages at any time.

  1. Navigation when creating a Pledge-a-thon for the first time:
    • Click Update & Next after completing a page to continue building the Pledge-a-thon profile.
    • When finished, click Save as Draft to save the Pledge-a-thon in the Draft folder, to complete the profile later or to activate the Pledge-a-thon. Or, click Save as Active, if the Pledge-a-thon is already in your active folder.
  2. Navigation when updating a Pledge-a-thon that has already been saved:
    • Use the navigation tabs at the top of the wizard to go directly to the page you would like to modify.
    • Once you have made a change to a page, click Update & Next to continue building the Pledge-a-thon profile.
      • If you do not click on Update & Next, using the tabs to immediately proceed to another page, you will lose your changes to the previous page.
    • When finished, click Save as Draft to save the Pledge-a-thon in the Draft folder, to complete the profile later or to activate the Pledge-a-thon. Or, click Save as Active, if the Pledge-a-thon is already in your active folder.

Do you already have a similar Pledge-a-thon setup?

  • Use the Copy button to create a new Pledge-a-thon.
  • Never reuse an old Pledge-a-thon, as all the participant & donor data from the previous Pledge-a-thon will still be associated with the Pledge-a-thon setup. Instead, create a copy to start with a fresh database.
