How do I archive a department?

Archiving departments hides them from customer view and is a handy way to re-use seasonal departments. Archiving a department keeps the product descriptions and images intact. You have the option of restoring archived departments to your eStore.

  1. NOTE: Before archiving a department, please make sure to archiveeach product in the department to disable the old product links.  Once all products have been archived, you can archive the department. 
  2. From the Setup section of the Shopping Cart menu, click Products & Departments.
  3. Choose Archive from the Action column. This hides the department from your public eStore. Note:
    • Archived departments and sub departments will be shown in light grey.
    • Active departments will be shown in black bold text.
